Aidyn Glenn Joins the Meeks Marketing Team

The Meeks Marketing team is growing! We are excited to announce that Aidyn Glenn has joined the team and brings over 6 years of AEC marketing experience to our group. Aidyn previously worked for large and small general contractors throughout Texas and specializes in proposal development, graphic design, creating marketing collateral, social media management and content creation. That’s her professional background - get to know her personally as she answers some questions below!

When you were ten what did you want to be when you grew up?
At ten, I wanted to become a veterinarian. Looking back though, I realize I was always creating picture slideshow PowerPoints and photo collages for my friends and parents with pictures I took from my camera, which oddly enough aligns with my role now as an AEC marketer, where crafting photo collages for projects and taking project photos are part of my talents.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time you’ll catch me in action as the ringmaster of chaos for my husband Devin and our pint-sized tornado of energy, three-year-old daughter Aspen. We all share a love for adventure which leads us to various outdoor escapades such as riding bikes, longboarding, swimming in our pool, going to the beach, going fishing, playing beach volleyball, and playing pickleball. When I have a moment to myself… you can probably find me in some shopping center getting in some retail therapy telling myself I need this 50th pair of black leggings.

What’s your marketing background before joining the Meeks team?
Before joining the Meeks Team, I gained four years of marketing experience at Harvey | Harvey-Cleary, a large class-A Contractor, where I had the benefit to work and learn under the late Lyndsay Woods. At Harvey we pursued all types of projects, private and public, collaborating among the Harvey offices. After I left Harvey, I pursued freelance opportunities with various firms then again had the opportunity to work closely with Lyndsay, who I considered my mentor and I miss her dearly. Her guidance and expertise both at Harvey | Harvey-Cleary, at Purple Magnolia Design and during my freelance opportunities, played a role in shaping my professional growth and the marketer I am today. I look forward to honoring her through my work in the future.

What’s your favorite type of marketing project to work on?
Among various types of marketing projects, I find a particular fondness for working on proposals. The exhilaration of meeting tight deadlines and the pursuit of securing projects truly resonate with my competitive side. There’s a unique thrill in striving to win opportunities through these efforts, driven by the satisfaction of making my clients happy and exceeding their expectations. What enhances this experience even more is the collaborative aspect of working as a team, leveraging my expertise with the project teams to craft the most compelling proposals.

If you weren’t an awesome AEC marketer, what would you be?
Thanks for saying I’m an awesome marketer! If I weren’t an AEC marketer, I think I would be an ER nurse. I have always loved caring for people and making them feel comfortable, understood, and helped.
